The Pittsburgh Steelers will travel for a West Coast game against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday Night Football.<\/p>\n
The Steelers enter this game with a surprising 5-3 record, while the Chargers boast a 6-3 record in 2025.<\/p>\n
Everything about this game tells me Los Angeles. I hate the way Pittsburgh wins games, and I don\u2019t believe it\u2019s sustainable. I also trust very little about their team, and there isn\u2019t much to suggest they should be good<\/a>.<\/p>\n That said, there is one very specific reason I\u2019m siding with the Steelers \u2014 the Los Angeles offensive line.<\/p>\n The Chargers entered the 2025 season with arguably one of the best offensive lines in the NFL. They\u2019ve dealt with a plethora of key injuries, and it\u2019s fair to argue that they have one of the worst offensive lines in the league at this point.<\/p>\n Joe Alt and Rashawn Slater are both out for the season<\/a>. Bobby Hart has been ruled out for the game this week as well. They love blitzing, ranking third in the NFL in blitz rate (32.9%). They\u2019ve also been able to get pressure (23.8%) on opposing quarterbacks.<\/p>\n Los Angeles is also dealing with injuries to multiple running backs, which has taken away from their run game. Instead, they\u2019ve relied heavily on Justin Herbert. That\u2019s never a terrible option, but it\u2019s going to be difficult this week.<\/p>\n Pittsburgh should consistently get pressure on Herbert, specifically because we know what the Chargers want to do with the ball on offense. If they can\u2019t get their run game working, Herbert is going to be in for a long night of pressure.<\/p>\n This is also a spot where the Steelers can control the line of scrimmage on offense. Their offensive line should be able to create yards for Jaylen Warren, who\u2019s found success this season. Los Angeles hasn\u2019t flashed the ability to stop the run in 2025, and this isn\u2019t a matchup where that\u2019s going to get better.<\/p>\n I don\u2019t love the idea that we\u2019re backing a team that has relied so heavily on turnovers to find success.
