But before diving into what\u2019s new, we thought it was a good idea to revisit our <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/ces-2025-the-best-tech-and-gadgets-we-saw-in-las-vegas-211535722.html\" data-i13n=\"cpos:2;pos:1\" data-ylk=\"slk:best of show winners from last year;cpos:2;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">best of show winners from last year<\/a> to see where they&#8217;re at. After all, CES is synonymous with vaporware. The good news is the Engadget team has a keen sense for BS. Of the ones we awarded at CES 2025 that\u00a0haven\u2019t\u00a0been released, most are coming this year. After spending more time with it, the A14&#8217;s shortcomings became more apparent. In his <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/computing\/laptops\/asus-zenbook-a14-review-a-lightweight-in-every-sense-133013668.html\" data-i13n=\"cpos:4;pos:1\" data-ylk=\"slk:review of the ultraportable;cpos:4;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">review of the ultraportable<\/a>, Engadget&#8217;s Devindra Hardawar gave the laptop a score of 78, lamenting its poor performance and expensive price tag. The BioLite Backup didn&#8217;t arrive in 2025, but if you visit the company&#8217;s website today, you can reserve one for $100, with final pricing expected to start at $2,000. They look like regular roof shingles, but Jackery said they would deliver cell conversion efficiency of more than 25 percent.<\/p>\n<p class=\"col-body mb-4 leading-7 text-[18px] md:leading-8 break-words min-w-0 charcoal-color\">It&#8217;s taken longer than anticipated, but Jackery says it now expects the shingles to go on sale in the US &#8220;very soon,&#8221; with pricing likely to range between $1,100 and $1,300 per square meter depending on the customer&#8217;s design requirements and how they purchase the product. Unfortunately, the Windows variant arrived first (shortly after CES), and was <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/gaming\/pc\/lenovo-legion-go-s-review-windows-version-not-so-fast-140002828.html\" data-i13n=\"cpos:9;pos:1\" data-ylk=\"slk:about as good as expected;cpos:9;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">about as good as expected<\/a>. However, the wait for the SteamOS model was well worth it. The <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/home\/home-theater\/lgs-oled-evo-tvs-for-2025-come-with-ai-and-a-165hz-refresh-rate-200037568.html\" data-i13n=\"cpos:11;pos:1\" data-ylk=\"slk:flagship evo M5;cpos:11;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">flagship evo M5<\/a> model impressed with its 165Hz refresh rate for gaming, better image processing for lower resolution content and a wireless transmission system for video and audio. At $4,300, the set is expensive, but the good news is LG typically does a good job of trickling down features to its more\u00a0 affordable sets, and I&#8217;m sure the company will continue to improve on its OLED technology this year.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"heading-mb col-body heading-text-style font-bold charcoal-color\">Moonbird Moonbuddy<\/h2>\n<figure class=\"relative col-body mb-4\">\n<div class=\"relative\"><img alt=\"A hand holds the Moonbird Moonbuddy. If a titanium bike wasn&#8217;t cool enough already, the Zero&#8217;s Quark DM1.2 motor offered something actually innovative: a mid-drive motor with more power output than even the best hub motor. Unfortunately, while you can buy plenty of other e-bikes off of Urtopia&#8217;s website, the Titanium Zero isn&#8217;t on sale yet.
