Mandatory Credit: Jerome Miron-Imagn Images<!-- --> <!-- --> <\/span><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"section-1\">\n<p>Cincinnati&#8217;s Brendan Sorsby, considered the top quarterback in the transfer portal, said Sunday night that he has committed to Texas Tech.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"section-2\">\n<p>Sorsby reportedly visited Texas Tech on Friday and LSU on Saturday before making the decision.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"section-3\">\n<p>Sorsby will receive an estimated $5 million in 2026, according to On3. Sorsby also rushed for nine scores.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<p><\/p>\n<section id=\"section-6\">\n<p>Sorsby has three seasons of starting experience, one for Indiana in 2023 and two with Cincinnati. <\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"section-7\">\n<p>Overall, Sorsby has passed for 7,208 career yards and 60 touchdowns against 18 interceptions. He has 1,305 yards and 22 touchdowns on the ground.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"section-8\">\n<p>Texas Tech spent a lot of money on transfers last offseason and it paid off with a program-record 12 wins. The Red Raiders were the No. 4 seed in the College Football Playoff but were blanked in their lone playoff game, a 23-0 loss to No. 5 Oregon.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"section-9\">\n<p>Quarterback Behren Morton completed 18 of 32 passes for 137 yards and two interceptions and Texas Tech had just 215 yards.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"section-10\">\n<p>Also, Sorsby is the boyfriend of Texas Tech women&#8217;s volleyball player Gretchen Sigman, who transferred from Cincinnati to Texas Tech in mid-December.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"section-11\">\n<p>LSU reportedly will host Arizona State quarterback Sam Leavitt on a visit Monday.
