Tim Washe scored his first NHL goal and the visiting Anaheim Ducks erased a two-goal deficit en route to winning 3-2 in a shootout against the Los Angeles Kings on Friday.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

Washe was playing in his sixth NHL game, his fourth this season.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

Ryan Strome also scored while Beckett Sennecke had two assists and scored in the shootout for the Ducks, who have won two in a row after a nine-game losing streak (0-8-1). Mason McTavish netted the shootout winner, and Lukas Dostal made 26 saves.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

Joel Armia had a goal and an assist, Quinton Byfield also scored and Darcy Kuemper made 26 saves for the Kings, who have lost three in a row (0-1-2) and five of six (1-2-3). Brandt Clarke netted Los Angeles’ lone shootout goal.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

At 1:38 of the first period, Byfield kept the puck on the 3-on-1 rush and took a snap shot from the right circle, scoring on the short side for a 1-0 lead.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Dostal made a save on a short-handed breakaway by Armia, and Los Angeles’ Taylor Ward and Adrian Kempe hit the crossbar later in the first period to keep it a one-goal game heading to the second.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

The Kings scored 11 seconds after Anaheim killed its third penalty of the game. Andre Lee fed Armia for a one-timer from the left circle to make it 2-0 at 11:33 of the second.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Armia had missed the previous five games with an upper-body injury.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

The Ducks came back with two goals in a 2:44 span later in the second period to tie.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

Strome scored with a one-timer from the top of the right circle to bring the Ducks within one at 12:12.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

Jacob Trouba’s shot from the right point went wide, caromed off the end boards and out the other side, and Washe was there to score from a sharp angle to tie it 2-2 at 14:56.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

The teams will meet again in Anaheim on Saturday.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n
