It\u2019s gotten so bad that the league should consider canceling the weekend altogether. Honor the best and most deserving players as Pro Bowlers, maybe host a fan meet-up, but get rid of all the games surrounding it.<\/p>\n<p>Shedeur Sanders was added as a Pro Bowler earlier this week, and he might be the very worst addition the league has ever made. Analytically, he was the worst quarterback in the NFL in EPA per play. He threw more interceptions than touchdowns, and if you watched him play, you saw throws that simply can\u2019t happen at the professional level. Yes, he played for the Browns, and their offense was one of \u2014 if not the worst \u2014 supporting casts in the league, but he also played a significant role in making things worse.<\/p>\n<p>He shouldn\u2019t be a Pro Bowler. Neither should his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/mlb\/story\/_\/id\/47780527\/bengals-qb-joe-flacco-41-earns-1st-pro-bowl-games-nod\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">former teammate Joe Flacco<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Flacco was marginally better than Sanders, but his season doesn\u2019t deserve any kind of recognition. He\u2019s a serviceable backup quarterback and nothing more.<\/p>\n<p>Fortunately, because these two were wrongfully included in this weekend\u2019s festivities, it creates an unintentionally hilarious narrative. The Browns started two different Pro Bowl quarterbacks this season. The <a href=\"https:\/\/deadspin.com\/kevin-stefanskis-firing-is-reminiscent-of-baker-mayfields-exit-from-browns\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">worst passing game in the NFL<\/a> featured two separate award winners at the position \u2014 and that\u2019s funny.<\/p>\n<p>But we can go even deeper.<\/p>\n<p>The Browns used six different quarterbacks at various points this season, and you can create an absurd laundry list of accolades from that group:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Joe Flacco:<\/strong> 3\u00d7 Pro Bowler, Super Bowl Champion<\/p>\n<p><strong>Shedeur Sanders:<\/strong> Pro Bowler<\/p>\n<p><strong>Deshaun Watson:<\/strong> 3\u00d7 Pro Bowler<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kenny Pickett:<\/strong> Super Bowl Champion<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tyler Huntley:<\/strong> Pro Bowler<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dillon Gabriel:<\/strong> NCAA Career Passing TDs leader<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bailey Zappe:<\/strong> NCAA Single-Season Passing TDs and Passing Yards leader<\/p>\n<p>Look at all of those accolades in one quarterback room, and yet Cleveland still produced the worst passing attack in football.<\/p>\n<p>These players didn\u2019t have much help around them, but it\u2019s still incredible \u2014 and darkly funny \u2014 that all of those awards and accomplishments resulted in absolutely nothing for the Browns.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/deadspin.com\/the-browns-had-two-pro-bowler-qbs-and-the-worst-passing-offense-in-the-nfl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Source link <\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Calling the Pro Bowl a joke in 2026 doesn\u2019t do justice to just how bad a product the NFL is putting out.
