With how often he has been getting sacked in the postseason, he may be even more apt to take off once the pressure gets too close.<\/p>\n Against the Seattle defense, he\u2019ll be under pressure a lot.<\/p>\n A quarterback\u2019s bestie against the pass rush is his big, pass-catching tight end that can make the tough catches over the middle. It will not be easy to run on the Patriots’ defense, but the Seahawks will not abandon the run unless they fall behind and need to play catch-up. He carried the ball 19 times in both prior playoff games.<\/p>\n In case there was any doubt, the NFC title game should have made one thing clear\u2014Sam Darnold will throw to Jaxon Smith-Njigba early and often. Yes, the Patriots have a solid pass defense, but Darnold and JSN showed the world just how great they can be in the NFC title game<\/p>\n They\u2019ll need that in the Super Bowl if they are to win.<\/p>\n New England has been harder to score on via the run (11) than pass (25), and only had ten interceptions. So, the Seahawks are not going to be scared to throw on the Pats secondary. I don\u2019t see Darnold decimating them like he did the Rams<\/a>, but he\u2019ll throw at least two touchdowns.<\/p>\n If the Seahawks get the ball, I\u2019d expect the game plan to look much like it did vs. the Rams: throw early and often to Jaxon Smith-Njigba<\/a>. But even if the Patriots get the ball first, I like his chances because Drake Maye hasn\u2019t favored one player nearly as much as Darnold.<\/p>\n This game won’t be like the 49ers game, where the Seahawks’ run game and defense led the way. I\u2019m expecting it to be more like the Rams game, where Darnold attempted 36 passes.<\/p>\n The Seahawks have been a two-running-back offense all season, so surely they\u2019ll take that approach for the Super Bowl, right? Wrong.
