Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather will face kickboxer Mike Zambidis in a June exhibition in Athens, Greece, before he comes out of retirement later this year.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Mayweather announced the news Monday on Instagram. The bout will serve as a warmup before the undefeated 49-year-old has a rematch with Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas on Sept. 19.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

“2026 is already shaping up to be an exciting year for me,” Mayweather said in the caption to his post. “I’m on the way to entertain!! Athens, Greece… Get Ready For An All Out Exhibition.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

“This summer will be a legendary battle.”<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

Mayweather last fought an exhibition in 2024 but hasn’t had an official fight since retiring after he improved to 50-0 with a win over MMA superstar Conor McGregor in August 2017.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

Zambidis, 45, boasts a 157-24 kickboxing record with 87 KOs. His last official fight was in June of 2015.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

Mayweather is also reportedly scheduled to face fellow boxing legend Mike Tyson in an April exhibition in the Democratic Republic of Congo. However, that hasn’t been officially announced yet.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n
