Mandatory Credit: Aaron Baker-Imagn Images <\/span><\/div>\n<\/section>\nRobert Wright III scored 27 points, including 23 in the second half, to lift BYU to an 82-76 win over No. 10 Texas Tech on Saturday in Provo, Utah.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n AJ Dybantsa had 21 points and Kennard Davis Jr. added 16 for the Cougars (21-10, 9-9 Big 12), who overcame a 13-point deficit. They will be the No. 10 seed in next week’s Big 12 tournament. <\/p>\n<\/section>\n Texas Tech (22-9, 12-6) fell to a No. 4 seed in the conference tournament and received a double bye. Christian Anderson led the Red Raiders with 23 points and nine assists and finished the regular season with a school-record 233 assists.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Donovan Atwell also had 23 points and Jaylen Petty had 14 for Texas Tech.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Anderson buried a 3-pointer with 1:46 to go to tie the game at 75.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Davis answered with a 3-pointer to give the Cougars a 78-75 lead.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Atwell made one of two free throws with 24 seconds left, but Wright sealed the win with two free throws with 19 seconds remaining for an 80-76 BYU lead. He added two more with 8 seconds on the clock for the final score.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n BYU finished 31 of 70 from the floor (44.3%), including 6 of 26 from beyond the arc (23.1%). Texas Tech was 46.6% on field-goal attempts (27 of 58), 16 of 35 from long range (45.7%).<\/p>\n<\/section>\n <\/p>\n The Red Raiders led 46-38 at halftime behind 15 from Anderson and 14 from Atwell.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Texas Tech shot 55.2% from the field and made 12 of 19 3-pointers in the first half.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n The teams finished the half with a 3-point frenzy as nine of the last 11 field goals made by the teams in the final 5:12 were 3-pointers.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n That includes the teams trading 3-pointers on the last six shots over the final 1:52 of the half.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n The Red Raiders led by 13 at the 7:40 mark of the first half when Josiah Moseley nailed a 3-pointer and Petty scored on a layup.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Texas Tech had scored eight points in the paint, had three second-chance points and had hit 55% of their shots, including 7-of-11 3-pointers.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Anderson already had 12 by the time Texas Tech led 31-18.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n The Cougars, meanwhile, had made just 29% of their shots.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n BYU got back to single digits, however, as Davis scored five of his 13 first-half points with a layup and a 3-pointer sandwiched around a tip-in by Khadim Mboup to make it 31-25 with 3:45 left.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n
